Crafted from 90% Sangiovese grapes grown on northwest-facing vineyards exposed to the mistral winds. The vines thrive at an altitude of 150–180 meters in sandy soil with a sandstone skeleton. Using the spurred cordon training system, the vineyard is planted at a density of 5,680 plants per hectare, yielding 80–90 quintals per hectare. The grapes, harvested at perfect phenolic ripeness, undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 30°C. After fermentation, the wine is aged in tonneaux and barriques for 15–18 months, followed by bottle aging. This Morellino di Scansano features a ruby red hue, with aromas of raspberries and black cherries. The palate is soft and enveloping, complemented by refined tannins.
